I started my surgical rotation at ALMC the other day....nah just was hanging out in the operating theatre watching a procedure and helping out where I could. I'm going to sit in on a few more surgeries next week as I got the go ahead from the visiting physicians. On Monday they are trying an orthoscopic surgery on a knee. We spent a few hours rounding up the supplies from the supply closets around the hospital. Besides that little tidbit, I've been running around the hospital trying to figure out what a few activities cost using different cost trackers I have been calculating. I have been a bit of sleuth watching the normal routine of the hospital. I was in a new ward yesterday (Friday) and I'm sure the local workers were a bit nervous because they still don't know what I do. So I bought everyone some cokes and they quickly warmed up. Bribery doesn't hurt every once in a while! B
