Hunting Success

Eric and I stalked our prey for about twenty minutes. I took the first shot and Eric did the rest. Its a 60 pointer! The main beams were about 7 1/2 inches.

Today at the hospital we had a leadership retreat. We discussed the vision of the hospital and leadership in the departments to get the hospital on track for expanding its capacity. There are many problems to overcome and definitely some hard roads ahead but the staff remains optimistic. I had a few nice chats with people around the hospital this week to get a bearing for work to be done next week. Turns out, some staff thought I was security for the hospital so no one was willing to trust me. I thought it was funny but not as funny as others took it. One coworker laughed his head off for 10 minutes.

Eric finds out if and where he matches for his emergency medicine residency this week. They are very excited and are singing about the possibilities. The ideal place is Madison, WI because they'll be close to family and Eric's mom runs a eco-oriented day care where Charlie is most welcome.

And...
The rains are coming! Today was filled with thunder but no rain. The weather has been really hot though, by 3:00pm its miserable because of the sun and blowing dust.
